Banana Republic has partnered with costume designer extraordinaire, Janie Bryant (who also created costumes for Deadwood, Swearengen shout out!) to create a line of Mad Men inspired clothes and oh man, this is some real good action up in here. It’s all I want in clothes. Hour-glass emphasis everywhere, tiny waists and not a hint of shapelessness or drape of trapeze swinging, boob muddling anything. Sigh. So beautiful.

On a moderately unrelated note: I was watching the NHL Awards and bearded Jon Hamm (in a beautiful suit and a cheesy yet delightful playoff beard joke) came out to present the Vezina Trophy for most awesomest goaltender and I realized that if he had to shake the grease-coated jerkface Roberto Luongo’s hand, I was most likely going to vomit on my new sandals and that Jon Hamm’s beauty would forever be tainted by that arrogant piece of…hey what now! And it all worked out and thankfully, super awesome sassy and interesting and talented Tim Thomas won, but I was really buggin;.

So, I guess, the positives are cute clothes, Luongo loses. Negatives, still no Mad Men for months and months and months.
